Minnesota residents sue Kristi Noem, allege ‘unprecedented attack on civil liberties’

MINNEAPOLIS — Susan Tincher said she got an alert on her phone the morning of Dec. 7 saying ICE agents were conducting an operation nearby. She says she went to the location, stood on the sidewalk, and asked the agents, “Are you ICE?”

In a new federal lawsuit, Tincher said she was forced to the ground seconds later and taken to the Whipple Federal Building, where she was held in a cell for hours in shackles.

Tincher is one of six people who have filed a class action lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Secretary Kristi Noem, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, and other federal officials…
