Large crowd joins anti-ICE protest on Minneapolis’ Lake Street

A large crowd of protesters gathered on Minneapolis’ Lake Street to register their opposition to the ongoing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) crackdown in the Twin Cities.

A march that drew many hundreds, and potentially thousands of protesters started at East Lake and Bloomington Avenue around 11:30 a.m., and ended about 90 minutes later at Lake and Pillsbury, near to Karmel Mall.

The shopping center is used frequently by the city’s Somali community that has found itself targeted by ICE agents carrying out “Operation Metro Surge” in the Twin Cities, amid verbal attacks on the Somali people by President Donald Trump…
