A mother from Minnesota is facing criminal charges after tackling a teen she believed was a part of a group onboard a Carnival Cruise that had attacked her son.

Paetra Ann Grandsberry of Saint Paul, Minn., was arrested and charged with child abuse after the Carnival Conquest docked at PortMiami on Monday, Dec. 22.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time while the ship was near the Bahamas on Sunday, Dec. 21, according to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. A chief security officer on the ship had been alerted to teens fighting and “contact was made” with Grandsberry. She told the officer that she was “extremely upset” after her two sons were “attacked by several kids on the cruise ship.”…
