Models cooking up a possible snowstorm Sunday in the Twin Cities

After a fast start to December was followed by a relatively quiet stretch of weather, the month could be ending with some ferocity as a storm system might brew up in time to produce heavy snow in or around the Twin Cities on Sunday.

As of midday Friday, the National Weather Service isn’t entertaining the idea of a significant storm system, but the latest model runs are showing potential for some rather impressive snow totals.
