Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara called the video showing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent kneeling on and dragging an allegedly pregnant woman “profoundly disturbing.” He criticized the methods used by federal partners.
O’Hara said, “Once it was determined that the scene was safe and there was no violence occurring, our officers disengaged from the scene. We have been training our officers for the last five years very, very intensely on de-escalation. This egregious disregard for human dignity is appalling. It is deeply concerning that there appears to be a lack of accountability from our federal partners.”
