Passenger injured in I-94 crash amid snowy conditions

MONTICELLO TOWNSHIP — One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash reported at 10:53 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, as a snowstorm moved through the area on westbound Interstate 94.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2021 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound lost control on snow- and ice-covered roadway conditions and struck the median near Milepost 192.

The driver, Issa Aden Hussein, 52, of Faribault, was not injured. A passenger, Hawo Issak Adow, 42, of Minneapolis, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare’s Monticello Hospital…
