In what could have been a menacing turn of events, Minneapolis Police Department – Second Precinct officers were lauded for defusing a potentially volatile situation involving a heavily intoxicated individual and an array of firearms. The incident, detailed in a social media post by the police department, reported that officers initially responded to what seemed like a straightforward slumper call.
Upon their arrival, the scene they stumbled upon was anything but routine. The officers spotted a handgun in plain view inside the vehicle. The occupant, found to be heavily intoxicated, was safely removed from the car. “During a lawful arrest and inventory search, officers recovered additional firearms, body armor, and other gear from the vehicle,” the post stated.
