It’s the first full week of 2026, and you should probably make good on that resolution to see more concerts and support the local arts world.
It’s pretty easy to do, because this is traditionally a slower time for concerts. However, a “slower time” doesn’t necessarily reflect quality. The opening weeks of the year are a time to catch local artists because they’re out there, and many are hosting residencies, which means you have a few chances to see them live.
Here are the concerts you should see this week around the Twin Cities.
The Cactus Blossoms residency
The alt-country/folk duo is returning to the Turf Club for their annual January residency.
