Welcome to a new year of live music. 2026 is already shaping up to be an epic year for concert junkies, and this newly announced show next month could easily go down as one of the most energetic stops of the year.
Minnesota’s live music scene continues to level up. From intimate clubs to massive arenas and stadiums, the state has become a reliable destination for major tours. That momentum is only growing with a brand new state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater set to open later this year in Shakopee, further solidifying Minnesota’s reputation as a must-stop market for touring artists.
Early-Year Shows Are Setting the Tone
Before the spring and summer concert season kicks into high gear, a handful of early-year shows are already generating buzz. One of the biggest announcements so far involves one of the most recognizable DJs in the world bringing a special tour to Minnesota.
Steve Aoki is a multi-platinum selling artist, Grammy-nominated record producer, and the founder of Dim Mak Records, an independent California-based label that has released music across a wide range of genres, from punk to electronic dance music.
Dim Mak Turns 30 With a Rare Minnesota Stop
To celebrate the label’s 30th anniversary, Aoki is hitting the road with the Dim Mak 30th Anniversary Tour. The run includes just eight North American stops, making Minnesota’s inclusion a rare and notable appearance. The Minneapolis show is scheduled for February 27.
