’80s Pop-Rock Band Pauses Concert to Make Solemn Statement After Fatal ICE Shooting

Duran Duran took a moment during a recent concert to pay tribute to Renee Good, the woman who was fatally shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis earlier this week.

The beloved ’80s band was performing a show in Lincoln, Calif., on Friday, Jan. 9 when lead singer Simon Le Bon paused the show to say a few words about the situation and dedicate one of their songs to Good, her family and her memory.

In a clip from the band’s performance on Friday night, Le Bon addressed the crowd while stating, “It’s a freaky world right now. It’s been difficult to kind of do this show without ignoring what went on in Minneapolis.”…
