A small crowd of about 40 people gathered Saturday morning on the Mountain Home square to hold a vigil for the woman shot by an ICE officer Wednesday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Organizers of the gathering stated it was important for them to take time to remember the woman. Along with candles, small signs with names were on display which organizers said represented the names of those who have died in ICE custody.
The victim, 37-year-old Renee Good, was a U.S. citizen who had moved to the Twin Cities from the Kansas City area. Witnesses say they saw a Honda Pilot blocked by multiple federal agents, and an agent tried to open the driver’s side door. The motorist then put her vehicle into reverse, then into drive.
