Minneapolis Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Queen Av N

The Minneapolis Police Department is currently investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot last Thursday night, as Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed in a recent statement.

Officials reported to the 700 block of Queen Avenue North at around 9:21 pm on January 8th, where, upon arrival, police discovered a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and while the shooter had fled before law enforcement made it there, the MPD is actively gathering leads in an effort to apprehend the individual responsible.

“The loss of a life is always tragic, and my thoughts are with the victim’s family,” Chief O’Hara stated. “Our investigators are working to follow leads and bring some sense of justice for the victim and his family.” The department has not made any arrests at this time, as the investigation continues into the incident’s motive and circumstances…
