Early Saturday morning, residents of Brooklyn Park were spared from what could have been a disastrous event. The local fire department was dispatched to 8484 Yates Ave at 1:49 am after receiving a report of an appliance fire. Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered flames originating from a bathroom fan that had quickly spread into the home’s attic space. The severity of the situation prompted an escalation of the response, with units from Plymouth and Osseo fire departments called in for additional support.
Fortunately, the efficiency and skill of the Brooklyn Park firefighters allowed them to quickly douse the flames, containing the damage to a minimum. With their quick work, the aiding units from neighboring departments were able to be canceled before their arrival on the scene. As confirmed in a statement obtained from the initial incident report, there were no injuries reported, and the event concluded without further incident.
