Minneapolis sandwich shop will open for one last day before permanent closure

The last Minnesota location of the sandwich chain Milio’s has closed its doors, citing economic challenges and recent events in Minneapolis.

Last month, a sign posted on the sandwich shop — located at 3813 W 44th St. in the busy France and 44th district of Minneapolis and Edina — announced plans to permanently close “in the very near future.”

General manager Curran Kelseth pointed to economic challenges, stating “the economy ate us whole.”…
