Minneapolis activist warns protestors ‘must remain peaceful’ as ICE will ‘shoot at us without reason’

Ahead of the protest in Minneapolis today, local community outreach volunteer Jeanne Massey had some cautionary words for the protestors.

“We must remain peaceful,” Massey said. “We must be resilient not to be provoked. Guns are real on the other side of us. We must do nothing to give them reason to shoot at us. They will shoot at us without reason.”“The insurrection act will come to us without reason. We will not give history reason. Peaceful demonstration en masse is the only way we have seen real change happen. It has been proven time and time again.” Jeanne, from Kingfield in South Minneapolis, acknowledged that people are angry with what is going on in their city.
