The National Rifle Association (NRA) has slammed a claim made by a federal prosecutor who posted that law enforcement was likely “legally justified” in shooting Alex Pretti because he had been carrying a gun.
Pretti, 37, was identified as the man who was fatally shot by federal officers in Minneapolis on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Officials have claimed that Pretti was armed and intended to kill law enforcement officers, but video footage shows that he was holding a phone — not a gun — before he was taken to the ground by several officers at the scene…
