Minneapolis protesters vow to gather daily at ICE building saying ‘we’re not going anywhere’

The demonstration in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday attracted an estimated 50,000 participants and captured international headlines, but miles away, on the city’s outskirts, committed activists have been appearing at another site daily since Renee Good was killed.

The Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building has become the focal point for much of the turmoil arising from “Operation Metro Surge,” which launched in December. The structure bears the name of Minnesota’s first Protestant Episcopal bishop, who championed minority communities, especially Native Americans.
