Minneapolis roofing facility to close; 120 layoffs expected

Around 120 employees are set to be laid off from a roofing manufacturing facility in north Minneapolis this spring.

Building Materials Manufacturing LLC recently informed Minnesota’s State Rapid Response Team that it intends to permanently close its facility at 50 Lowry Avenue North by April 4. The closure will result in around 120 employees being laid off, according to the notice.
