Greg Bovino sent thank you note to Border Patrol agent after he shot woman 5 times

Former Border Patrol commander-at-large Gregory Bovino, who oversaw the controversial immigration enforcement operations in Chicago and Minneapolis, congratulated a federal officer for shooting a woman five times last year, even offering to extend his retirement benefits.

Border Patrol agents shot a woman in Chicago, Marimar Martinez, 30, five times in early October, after claiming her and another driver, Antony Ruiz, 21, were planning to “box” them in and assault them.

As the vehicles approached the agents, Border Patrol official Charles Exum can be seen in a newly-released video steering the SUV’s wheel to the left, seemingly ramming into the civilians’ car. Then, another officer shoots five times, striking Martinez, who suffered from seven gunshot wounds…
