Nashville Coop expands, takes over former Stepchld space

Your options for grabbing a plate of Nashville hot chicken are even more plentiful now that there’s a new Nashville Coop in Minneapolis.

The Northeast Minneapolis restaurant Kizzo — which was Stepchld not too long ago — is now rebranding as Nashville Coop.

The Twin Cities mini-chain is co-owned by Kamal Mohamed, who was also behind Stepchld and Kizzo. He and brother Arif have been expanding the Coop’s reach, serving spicy chicken with a blend of Ethiopian spices.

However, this new eatery will be slightly different than its other three locations. The menu will include the Stepchld favorite, the Cooper Burger, according to a social media announcement…
