Minneapolis small business says speaking out on ICE outweighs risk of losing customers

The owner of a zero-waste shop with two Minneapolis locations is speaking out about its decision to take a stand against the ICE occupation of the Twin Cities, despite the potential of losing customers.

On Wednesday, Tare Market shared an email from someone claiming they will never shop at the business again in response to the store’s statement denouncing ICE the day after an agent killed Renee Good. The individual lambasts the business for so-called “ignorant comments,” while making offensive comments about Good and alluding the false “paid protester” conspiracy theory..
