Charges: Inver Grove Heights man found with almost 11 pounds of meth

A 62-year-old Inver Grove Heights man is facing charges after a Stillwater-based drug task force seized almost 11 pounds of meth from a home.

Danny Gene Zaccardi has been charged with first-degree sale of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, according to a Thursday announcement from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

As part of an ongoing investigation into large-scale methamphetamine distribution, the multi-agency drug task force made the discovery on Feb. 3 while executing a search warrant at an Inver Grove Heights residence.

During the search, agents with the Washington County Drug Task Force reported recovering 9.89 pounds of meth in numerous baggies throughout a downstairs bedroom, as well as an additional 14 ounces of meth and two handguns in a bag hidden behind a basement couch…
