Travelodge by Wyndham in Brooklyn Center has temporarily closed due to an order by the Hennepin County Public Health Department. A county spokesperson said they identified multiple health and safety violations during recent inspections.
This follows a discussion of the “evolving situation” at the Feb. 9 Brooklyn Center City Council meeting. In a statement, the spokesperson said this action “was taken to protect guests and staff while the hotel completes required corrective measures before reopening.”
The county provided the hotel owner with a list of corrective actions. Those include cleaning and sanitation, securing exits and entrances, and maintaining guest and staff training records. The spokesperson said those steps must be completed before licenses are reinstated…
