The Department of Homeland Security has ordered all federal immigration officers in Minneapolis to begin wearing body-worn cameras, marking a major shift in enforcement policy.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the directive on X on February 2, 2026, saying she spoke with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Patrick Lechleitner and Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Troy Miller before issuing the order.
