Man pleads guilty to robbery during filming of music video in Minneapolis alley

MINNEAPOLIS — The man accused of robbing two people who were filming a music video in a Minneapolis alley last year pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree aggravated robbery.

Minneapolis Police say Dementrice Antonio Arnold Jr., 21, walked up to two people in an alley off the 1800 block of Nicollet Ave. S. on Oct. 18, 2025, pointed a gun at them, and stole a gold necklace and about $1,100 in cash.

A man told police that he was with another person shooting a music video in the alley when someone came up behind them and pointed a firearm with an extended magazine at his midsection. According to court documents, the man told officers that the gunman demanded that he take off all his jewelry, and at one point racked the gun when he thought the victim wasn’t removing the valuables fast enough. He added that the gunman said he was “going to up him” if he didn’t hand over the jewelry…
