Attorney’s office defends bail for man who allegedly killed 2 cousins in Minneapolis

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office says the bail amount for a man accused of shooting and killing two of his cousins the day after his release from jail was “higher than we would typically request.”

Court records show the man, whose identity was confirmed by the attorney’s office as Eddie Darren Duncan, was arrested on a warrant on Feb. 15 and charged with possessing a machine gun and fleeing Robbinsdale Police during a traffic stop.

The criminal complaint and warrant, which were filed on Jan. 30, said Duncan “lost control and crashed…” before running away, and the officer noticed a modified handgun when he approached the car…
