MINNEAPOLIS (Valley News Live) — Eleven people are in custody, five are charged and one remains at large following a federal operation targeting the “Family Mob” street gang in south Minneapolis, the FBI said Thursday.
Federal prosecutors unsealed three indictments and two criminal complaints on Wednesday, Feb. 25, charging five of those defendants with drug trafficking. Agents executed arrest and search warrants that morning as part of the operation.
According to the Justice Department’s District of Minnesota (DOM), the “Family Mob” has operated in south Minneapolis since the late 1990s to early 2000s, allegedly distributing fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine among other controlled substances…
