Minneapolis–St. Paul, MN – A narrow but impactful band of light, fluffy snow left 4 to 6 inches across parts of southern Minnesota early Sunday, creating slick roads and localized travel slowdowns.
According to the US National Weather Service Twin Cities, the system produced unusually high snow-to-liquid ratios of 30-to-1 to 40-to-1, meaning a small amount of moisture generated several inches of accumulation.
