Hennepin County investigating after deputy slams anti-ICE protester’s head to ground

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after a deputy was recorded slamming an anti-ICE protester’s head to the ground during clashes outside the Whipple Federal Building on Sunday.

A spokesperson confirmed to Bring Me The News that the incident, which can be seen about 7 seconds into the video below, is under “internal investigation.”

The footage shows an anti-ICE protester being dragged to the ground during the law enforcement response to the protests. While on their back, a Hennepin County deputy forcefully pushes back their head, which strikes the concrete sidewalk…
