Cody Fohrenkam, the man who pleaded guilty to the murder of a 15-year-old Minneapolis North High School student athlete in 2022, was sentenced on Monday to more than 28 years in prison.
Fohrenkam was initially sentenced to nearly 40 years before the Minnesota Court of Appeals ordered a new trial. Instead, Fohrenkam pleaded guilty.
