As the family continues to try to make sense of what happened, loved ones and the community gathered for a vigil to honor two brothers shot and killed by another family member.
Last Monday, in Minneapolis, 14-year-old Xavier Vincent Marquis Barnett and 23-year-old Akwame Shaquelle Davron Stewart were shot by 23-year-old Eddie Darren Duncan, their cousin, who was later killed by police in a shooting in Brooklyn Center.
A week after the brothers’ tragic deaths, a vigil was held at their home with friends and family filling the yard.
