Spring temperatures arrive for the start of the week

I say this a lot in spring and summer: Low clouds are the bane of my forecasting life. You got to feel that Saturday, as low clouds kept temperatures in the low to mid 30s around the Twin Cities. The warm air is not that far away, but we will have to wait until Sunday to feel it.

A wind shift line pulls the warmer air over the state tonight. As it does, there could be a few light rain showers in the Twin Cities, and some snow showers up north. Nothing sticks, and roads will be fine.

Behind the rain, it will get blustery. Southwest winds could gust 25 to 30 mph overnight through Sunday. I have pulled highs down just a little bit, because a few more clouds stay over the state. 60°+ is likely from the Twin Cities to the south, and more sun will send highs into the mid 60s. Central and northern Minnesota will not be as warm, topping out in the mid to upper 50s…
