Police have finally arrested a suspect six years after a young mother was killed in a drive-by shooting in south Minneapolis.
Malcolm Johnson, 33, of Minneapolis was charged Thursday with second-degree murder in the 2020 death of 18-year-old Arionna Buckanaga.
According to a criminal complaint, Johnson admitted to the shooting after he was arrested last week, telling investigators that Buckanaga’s boyfriend was the intended target.
Buckanaga was driving a Ford Mustang on May 4, 2020 when she was shot in the head near the intersection of 39th Street East and Cedar Avenue South. Her boyfriend was in the passenger’s seat…
