Lawsuit claims Minneapolis isn’t trying hard enough to address shortage of police officers

MINNEAPOLIS — The Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC) has filed a lawsuit against Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey over police staffing levels in the city.

“This is to compel Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to hire an additional 100 police officers,” UMLC Attorney Rachel Paulose said.
