Sheriff’s across Minnesota are warning you of a text message scam in which it says you have committed a parking violation or failed to pay an electronic toll in Minneapolis and will need to appear in Hennepin County District Court. The texts appear to come from the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles. Authorities say these messages are scams and you should not engage or reply to them. Minnesota DMV nor the Minnesota Courts will ever solicit the transfer of money to resolve legal matters.
