MAPLEWOOD, Minnesota — When William Swift was growing up, he immersed himself into different worlds through books, movies and television shows.
“I was a foster kid growing up. I bounced around quite a lot when I was younger throughout the state of Minnesota,” Swift said. “It was a pretty dark childhood for me. So the way that I kind of was able to escape my childhood, was jumping into my favorite film or TV show or book series. Book characters and film characters really kind of became a pseudo family to me, to an extent. I learned a lot from the stories that I saw unfold on TV and read about in books.”
In 2019, his love of storytelling became tangible when he acquired his first prop — a goblet from a favorite TV show, Once Upon a Time…
