Magrath Library is scheduled to close at the end of the semester as construction on the new St. Paul Campus Center begins, the University of Minnesota announced.
In an email to the Minnesota Daily, University representatives said the new Campus Center is part of the University’s strategic roadmap to revitalize the St. Paul campus and will include a new library.
“The new St. Paul Campus Center will be a highly visible and welcoming destination that supports the daily needs of students, faculty and staff and reflects the vitality, mission and experience of St. Paul to all visitors to campus,” Linstroth said in the email. “It will combine new meeting and events spaces, teaching and learning areas, food and retail and indoor and outdoor social spaces with student health services and a new St. Paul campus library — which replaces Magrath.”…
