Legendary Minneapolis Host Tom Barnard Reveals Alzheimer’s Diagnosis.

Tom Barnard, who for 37 years hosted mornings on Cumulus Media classic rock KQRS (92.5) Minneapolis, revealed Friday during an episode of his “Tom Barnard Podcast” that he’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Accompanied by his family during the podcast, Barnard said that while the diagnosis is “not generally good news, mine is getting better little by little,” saying that he’s undergone unspecified treatments that have made him feel better. “The amazing thing is, I’ve had seven deals. I can tell by a little tic, that each of them did something good.”

While Barnard did not share exactly when he received the diagnosis, family members mentioned that he was depressed after stepping down from hosting at KQRS in 2022, and they had become concerned that something was happening with his memory, according to Bring Me The News…
