Historic Twin Cities diner adds breakfast for first time in 90 years

For the first time in 90 years, Convention Grill in Edina will open for breakfast.

On Wednesday, April 1, eggs Benedict will be added to the familiar menu of burgers, Caesar salad, and malted milks.

To lead the change, Convention Grill has appointed its first-ever executive chef, Elliott Jones, who has spent time in the kitchens at The Kenwood, Maison Margaux, and Spoon and Stable, among others.

“Convention Grill has a long history of ‘best of’ accolades,” Jones says in a statement. “Introducing such a meaningful change to a place this iconic is both a big responsibility and a big honor.”…
