A 36-year-old St. Cloud man is facing felony charges after he allegedly punched a man in the face, breaking his nose, at a “No Kings” protest in the Twin Cities on Saturday.
Prosecutors in Hennepin County on Monday charged Zak X, a far-right social media personality, with third-degree assault and committing a crime while wearing a bullet-proof vest, both felonies, in connection with the incident at the protest in Bloomington, one of thousands that took place across the U.S. over the weekend.
X is also facing a prior assault charge filed after he allegedly punched a protester outside the Henry Whipple Federal Building in December during an incident that Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty described as an act of political violence.
