Some local activists are taking more drastic action as they continue to push for the closure of a trash incinerator in downtown Minneapolis.
Members of the Zero Burn Coalition are organizing a hunger strike starting April 10, with the goal of urging county commissioners to commit to a firm closure date for the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center, known as the HERC.
