Vacant Bloomington Slumberland building has new owner

A prominent vacant building in Bloomington will soon have a new owner.

Fraser, a nonprofit organization providing services for autism, mental and behavioral health, and disabilities, announced Wednesday it recently closed on the purchase of the former Slumberland building at 7801 S. Xerxes Ave.

This comes after the furniture megastore made the short move to the nearby Southtown Shopping Center last year.

“Our new Bloomington location positions Fraser to provide even more quality services to our community,” said Fraser President & CEO Diane S. Cross in a statement provided to Bring Me The News. “Our goal is for everyone to be able to access Fraser’s quality services within 30 miles or 30 minutes from home.”…
