2 teens injured after car theft, shooting in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS — Two teens are recovering after a shooting on Thursday morning.

In a press release, Minneapolis Police said officers responded to reports of three people stealing a vehicle on the 3500 block of Colfax Avenue North around 1:15 a.m. Shortly after that, ShotSpotter and 911 calls reported multiple gunshots in the area.

Ten minutes later, the stolen vehicle dropped off two teens at North Memorial Medical Center. A 14-year-old boy had a graze wound, and a 16-year-old boy had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Minneapolis Police…
