After more than 30 years in Minneapolis, the notorious adult shop SexWorld closed last year. Almost a year after that closure, there’s a chance for you to own some “memorabilia” from the business.
The shop, located just a few blocks away from Target Center, right in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis’s North Loop Warehouse District, had been open 24/7 since opening in 1993. It was announced last year that the shop would be closing in mid-2025.
As the business met struggles, it moved away from that 24/7 “always open” business model to more limited hours toward the end of its run. A variety of other tactics were also used in the final few years of operation to keep the Twin Cities business afloat…
