Residents evacuated from group home after car crashes through facility in Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Residents of a group home in Brooklyn Park were forced to evacuate after a vehicle reportedly crashed into the building, causing a gas leak.

The Brooklyn Park Police Department said in a statement the incident happened early Wednesday morning on the 7600 block of Regent Avenue North. Arriving officers reported a vehicle had crashed through one of the facility’s bedrooms and subsequently caused a gas leak.

Police said the residents of the home were evacuated while officials dealt with the leak. One of the residents was treated for minor injuries as a result of the crash, as well as the suspected driver…
