Thousands of feet of copper wire allegedly stolen from Cargill grain terminal in Savage

A Twin Cities man is accused of stealing thousands of feet of copper wire from Cargill’s grain terminal storage facilities along the Minnesota River in Savage.

Prosecutors last week charged 44-year-old Michael Alan Fredin, of Bloomington, with one felony count of theft.

A power washer worth approximately $9,000 and thousands of feet of cooper wire, valued at $30,000, were reported stolen from the Cargill facility on June 19, 2025, according to the criminal complaint…
