South Minneapolis apartment fire displaces 13 residents: MFD

Thirteen people, including four children, were displaced from a south Minneapolis apartment after the building caught fire on Monday evening, leaving part of the home unlivable, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a building along 27th Avenue South near East 29th Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. for reports of a fire on the back porch of a two-story apartment building.

When fire crews arrived, they found flames coming from multiple sides of the apartment building, but they were able to control the fire before it spread into the building…
