Twin Cities construction companies accused of wage theft ordered to pay $1.3M to workers

An investigation by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has resulted in the recovery of almost $1.3 million for 26 construction workers who were victims of wage theft.

The department announced Monday that its investigation of Property Maintenance and Construction and Advantage Construction uncovered widespread wage and hour violations on 19 construction projects across the Twin Cities, including the Viking Lakes development in Eagan.

Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner Nicole Blissenbach says it’s the “largest recovery for workers stemming from a DLI wage theft investigation,” and resolves a case filed against the two companies at the Minnesota Court of Administrative Hearings in December 2023…
