Assessments are calculated by multiplying the influence area (based on square footage of adjacent property) by the city’s uniform assessment rate, which for 2026 is $3.20 per square foot for non-residential properties, and $1.12 per square foot for residential properties.
Assessments of $150 or less will be collected in full on the property tax statement in the year they are levied. Assessments greater than $150 may be paid in 20 annual installments on the property tax statement.
