First Precinct officers arrived around 9:45 a.m. and discovered the victim with multiple stab wounds, then called in homicide detectives as forensic analysts moved in to process the scene.
Scene and investigation
According to the Star Tribune, officers erected a tent over the park bench to shield the man’s body from public view while detectives worked the scene and collected evidence. The paper reports that authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim.
